May 20th: In a remarkable act of service one of our activists showed up in the afternoon in spite of her grief at having lost a beloved pet. Here is a copy of her postcard: “Dear House Speaker Mariano, my beloved cat died this morning. At least she died of old age. I still came here this afternoon because people are living beings, and the Earth should not be dying from climate change. The fossil fuel industry, and their funders will never make the choice to stop killing. You must stop them. No New fossil Fuel infrastructure.”
